THE UNIVERSITY OF THE THIRD AGE
We are a friendly, self-help group aiming to improve our life drawing skills, supported by visiting artists and tutors.
We draw each other (clothed!) in a variety of poses, lasting between three to twenty minutes, which can be static or moving. We usually use pen, pencil, crayon, pastel and charcoal for this type of quick drawing, but we encourage experimentation.
All abilities are welcome - look for our display on the office notice board to see what we are doing. Group members can attend either one or both groups. If you wish to join, please contact the group leader first. Knee easels are provided, but bring your own paper and drawing materials.
Suitable for people with hearing impairment and limited vision.
Members can attend one or both groups if places available
Leader: Anne 01757 228530 email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Venue: We meet in the Woolman Room 10.00am - 12.00 noon on the 2nd
Tuesday and 4th Wednesday of the month starting on Tuesday 12th September 2017.
Cost is £1.00 towards the hire of the room and 20p towards refreshments. Donations may be requested to help with the travelling costs of visiting artists and tutors. We have regular lunches once a month following a meeting, when all group members are invited to catch the Coastliner and get together to sample the delights provided by the catering students at York College at a very reasonable cost.
